I call that a scone, wtf America, calling a scone a biscuit?
Biscuits are just warm and super soft scones. Biscuits are typically eaten as a side plate during dinner or lunch in conjunction with butter or a Thanksgiving-style gravy, similar to how Italian bread is used in conjunction with tomato sauce from pasta.
It is a scone in the UK and a biscuit in the Americas. Although they differ in that scones tend to be made with butter and biscuits on other types of animal fat or shortening.
My country invented them, though, so I guess we have naming rights
