An unexpected job has kinda threw me off and taken up all my time so sorry for the lack of updates. We'll finally be getting to the real meat and potatoes (ALBUMS and SONGS) of the list TODAY!

50. Nightride - Tinashe
An album maybe a bit too heavy in 'vibes' over actual songs, but still an enjoyable enough mixtape from my favorite neighbor!
49. The Heart Speaks in Whispers - Corinne Bailey Rae
Girl, I loved putting this record on! *ba dum tss!* But I'm not telling you my favorite song yet, we're saving that for my songs list. Nah but seriously, give this a listen if you liked KING's album from this year (it's no surprise the 3 best songs here are ones they contributed to) because many of the songs here have that classy Sade-esque feel to it. It's been a good year for Rae's!
48. Anti - Rihanna
God was this overrated AF by everybody, but it's probably just about the most cohesive thing Rih has put together so props to her for that! Even at her laziest (Work, Same ol Mistakes) there's something about her that's very likable and easy to listen to.
47. Joanne - Lady Gaga
Gaga still hasn't put out an album I haven't enjoyed! I must be a little monster at heart. Although she had a bit of a genre change up here, most of the things I liked about her stayed (an ear for a good hook, theatrical yet grounded vocals) and she even gave us a great album cover for once.
46. Emotions and Math - Margaret Glaspy
An album I wished I listened to more! But still, it stuck with me far after I heard it. The short punchy songs here were produced by the same guy who did Alabama Shake's last album so if you liked that you'd dig this too. Great guitar playing! Margaret has a v strong and smoky sounding voice and a good sense of melody. Straightforward writing, but clever and #relatable.

o I didn't know KING chipped in on Corinne's stuff, that gives me incentive to listen although their own album is still on my backburner too n
#47 over #48 u r a mess!! I just don't get how one could dislike Work still but you right you right, I do love the Joanne cover

This Parental Guidance song is cute! I should check this album out more.
Joanne & Atni are cute - I'm mostly similar to your thoughts on the albums & song choices.

Love Tinashe but I wasn't feeling Nightride. Her mixtapes are never really my cup of tea.
ANTI and Joanne ![smitten](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ebf69f50.gif) ![clap3](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/67d90ee8.gif) Both are so low on your list though ![:'(](images/smilies/images/smilies/cry.gif) But at least you still had positive things to say about them.

100. Make Me Like You - Gwen Stefani
A funky lil ditty and the best thing Gwen's done in years!
99. That Part - Schoolboy Q
OK OK OK OK OK OK.
98. Chantaje - Shakira
A welcome return from Shaki after her tepid self-titled album. I have no idea what they're saying but it sure is catchy.
97. Ferrari - Yemi Alade
The Nigerian pop star Yemi Alade just oozes confidence and charm here, so much that I can ignore the "rhyme" of 'Ferrari' and 'salary'.
96. Emotions and Math - Margaret Glaspy
A skinny mess/that's breathless from telling you/all the things that I'm gonna do
A rocking number about feeling helpless when you're 2 minus 1!
95. Calm Down - Katy B
A house jam that's lyrically the exact opposite of the song above it!
94. Nobody Dies - Thao & the Get Down Stay Down
Oh my Life/Won't you come for me/I got love to give, too scared to leave
A Merrill Garbus produced track that has a slightly sarcastic yet sad vibe to it, all while still being a whole lot of fun to listen to.
93. Miserable America - Kevin Abstact
Although it sometimes feels like Kevin is just a poor man's Frank Ocean, a song like this is especially relevant right now. He talks about being gay and black in America, and to just ignore the haters and live your life.
92. Rinse & Repeat - Riton
This not how I woke up/but it's how I look now
91. Be Apart - Porches
A melancholy song about wanting to feel a sense of belonging and yet at the same time wanting to be disconnected from it all. It has a sound that's reminiscent of the synth pop of Depeche Mode or New Order.

90. Wings of Love - LIV
Self-described as "the love child of ABBA and Fleetwood Mac" this Swedish supergroup includes one of my fave artists, Lykke Li! This folksy tune certainly has the feel of those 2 mentioned bands.
89. Talk to Me - Run the Jewels
All of the singles that RTJ have released this year have felt 'good' but not 'GREAT' to me. Still, this one had a lot of great lines and a fantastic beat. P.S. I have not heard the new album yet so there might be something better than this, but I'm saving it for 2017.
88. Conceptual Romance - Jenny Hval
A haunting, shifting song about love, whether it be real or just "abstract romanticism".
87. Three Sides of Nazareth - Nicolas Jaar
A nearly 10 minute long stunner of pulsing electronics and the occasional moody vocals.
86. Dang! - Mac Miller
This breezy tune is a perfect combination of Mac Miller's easygoing charm and Anderson Paak's distinctive voice & ear for a hook.
85. Work from Home - Fifth Harmony
The right amount of dumb work metaphors and a catchy repetitive chorus, so pretty much a perfect Fifth Harmony song!
84. The Sound - The 1975
An 80's New Wave throwback that's hard to resist even though I would quite like to! P.S. Am I the only one that doesn't find Matt Healy that attractive?? He does have nice hair though, I'll give him that.
83. Berlin got Blurry - Parquet Courts
One of the best rock songs of the year! It really encapsulates the feeling of being lost in a big city you're visiting for the first time.
82. On Hold - The xx
I've never been a big xx fan, mostly because I find the lead vocalists' voice to be a bit too lifeless and monotonous. However, this song finds a sound that's more like Jamie XX's last album which is probably why I like it so much!
81. Winterbreak - MUNA
A lovely little ballad about a relationship that you know will never work but still you would get back with the person in an instant! I can certainly relate.

45. Human Performance - Parquet Courts
Parquet Courts are not a band I expected to like, but something about their deadpan delivery and indie rock sensibilities really clicked with me.
44. The Hope Six Demolition Project - PJ Harvey
An album that got a lot of controversy for being "poverty tourism", which I do not entirely agree with. The album consists of PJ's chilling observations she recalls from her visits to Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Washington D.C. But as an artist it isn't her job to fix these problems, and what she does here is more than enough in my opinion. But even if I was offended by the politics surrounding the album, the music here shows that PJ Harvey is still as great as she ever was. There's a lot to enjoy here in the driving melodies, heavy production, intricate instrumentals, and her always powerful vocals.
43. Love You to Death - Tegan and Sara
After making the big POP crossover with there last album, Tegan and Sara continue in the same route with this 80s inspired 31 minute album of shimmering synths and love songs. Although the singles here seem to stand out the most, and the production on some songs have too much going on, I think they may have it in them to make something like 'Emotion' some day as they continue to fine tune their craft.
42 . I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it - The 1975
OH, The 1975. Everything about them make me want to cringe. That album title. Their music videos. Their pretentiousness. Matt Healy's persona. But at the end of the day I love the 80's too much to not like an album like this. And there's even some surprising moments, like the beautiful instrumental 'Please be Naked' or the gospel ballad 'If I Believe You'. Plus the songwriting is pretty solid. I am a reluctant fan.
41. Big Day in a Small Town - Brandy Clark
12 Stories is still one of my favorite country albums of the decade, and although this didn't quite live up to that it had a lot to offer. Describing the different going-on's in a small southern town, this album deals with the usual country cliches, but Brandy brings her lyrical smarts to make some clever and sometimes heartbreaking songs. When walking around the small town I visited last summer, I thought about this album and wondered about the possible drama that could be going on behind the scenes of all these smiling, overwhelmingly white strangers.

Slay You to Death is excellent. ANTI should have been a little Higher.mp3 though.
Also pleased to see Jenny Hval, Nico Jaar and The xx on the songs list!
And also please visit my best of because it's tanking, thanks. ![eli's_rhythm](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/eli_zps0932edf9.gif)
