But Perfect Illusion is seriously one of Gaga's most basic songs ever. It's really generic and repulsive. Even Applause is a more complex and better crafted song.

It's mainly because her head was up her ass while she had massive success and when she began to underperform people jumped on the opportunity to tear her down.
