No sis, i don't care if someone flops or not, i love Rockstar 101 more than any song on Loud (maybe except WMN?) and it was a flop. But her voice is a bit dull, it doesn't standout in the R&B field. Complicated sang by Rihanna sounds tough and edgy (i.e. when she sings "punch you in the face" for example, and no don't bring up stupid comments of CB people), i could not imagine Jordin to give it that vibe
You can't imagine it cos you haven't heard her sing it.
And you can barely hear that line cos the chorus comes over it
Let's not be stupid, the song does sound like something Jordin would record. That being said, Rihanna did a really great job with it. I never expected Rihanna to pull such hard choruses before the Loud era, I thought Only Girl was a coincidence but then Complicated proved me wrong. Besides, they both have similar voices, don't tell me you can't imagine Rihanna singing Tattoo. When I first heard No Air on the radio, I thought it was Rihanna when she went "tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air," but then she started singing and I realized it wasn't Rihanna.
Yeah I get everyone stans for Rihanna and nobody really loves Jordin (lol understandably) but you can't deny her voice is better and she could have done it better
Just hearing Russian Roulette there was an improvement... Then Love The Way You Lie....then Only Girl is a hell of a difficult song to sing.... California King bed has a difficult chorus too..... the 'in this california king bed' part is very high and has a broken voice to it. Complicated is HARD to sing... the chorus is HARD the 'Complicated' part where si hold the high note and the she even puts a vibrato at the end of it is nothing to joke about.
and now in FLY... that high note he hits is no joke either...
You may like her voice and her music more or less... but U cant deny she sings MUCH BETTER now than ever.
And as a Jordin fan, honestly, I never thought that it could've been one of her song..
I love them both. (but of course, I love Jordin more ) But, I think it would be better if we heard Jordin sing this song.. It would be great though because I think the song fits her voice.
