how is it a monopoly tho ???
Apple Music is playing catch up , Spotify HAS their subscribers , so what would make someone choose Apple Music when they offer literally the exact same content ??? EXCLUSIVES. Perks for being loyal to a brand. Netflix , Hulu , and Amazon Prime Video do not have the same content ... sure some of it may overlap , but at the end of the day they want to steal as much business away from the other one as possible. Hulu signed a deal to get the Criteron Collection , Netflix has a deal with Disney , Amazon video has movie channel ad-ons like Starz and Showtime as well as a partnership with HBO .... and all of these moves were done so that they can make their business seem more appealing than the other
this isn't even about streaming services , the record execs are pissed that they're not making as much money off these artists by having them independently work out a deal with a steaming service (something that the artist probably has to heavily consider themselves) and it's just them implementing control over musicians and equating them to products
furthermore , y'all are only as pissed as y'all are about exclusives because y'all have invested so much time (and probably money) into Spotify or better yet y'all broke ass fools just wanna stream it for free .....pay up , choose wisely , or shut up; end of discussion
