But anyway I agree OP. She can sing, dance, produce her own music, writes her own music and directs her own music videos. RCA are trash and her management are pretty poor although they try their best which is one of the factors as to why she hasn't blown up yet.

Some of these people calling her boring or saying she "lacks stage presence"? Yikes. Some of you wouldn't know what TALENT was even if it hit you in the face. Not to mention some of the tragic looking sigs in here too.

The problem really lies in her image. It is nothing new. The GP has seen it before. From the outside looking in, I can see why she comes off boring to some non stans.

I read somewhere that her choosing 2 On as a song to step on the scene probably was a big no no. I mean, yes it did show up on billboard. Though, the result of the song being a single introduced her as just another chick singing over a mustard beat.

I know plenty of people who know 2 On but not Tinashe and thats a terrible thing.

She should have just kept building her fanbase before even signing cause whatever RCA spit to her about making her this huge star, it isn't happening.

And she continues to chase success with basic tracks that seem more basic and outdated than the other basic tracks on the Hot 100.

Tinashe CAN do better and Tinashe CAN breakout but she needs to be in the right hands with the right people.

Sorry sis, but I can agree with this. We both know our girl can perform, but she does not command a stage like a whitney, mj, yadda yadda.

It isn't her fault either or the other singers today fault for their lack of it too, its the labels fault for disowning their system of artist development. Half of these artist might actually be somewhere if they did not.

I agree so much. I discovered her through 2 On and assumed she was talentless based off that tragic Wendy performance. It took me a long time and a lot of good reviews to be convinced into listening to Aquarius where I instantly became a stan.

Amethyst was a mixtape not album that was pushed by label/radio.

Artist development rarely happens these days because record labels want quick cash. They just hook up the artist with a relevant producer and release a song that sounds like everything else on the radio so that it becomes a big hit.

With Tinashe, she definitely does not have the stage presence as MJ, Whitney etc. but she is a good performer. She needs more performance slots where she can showcase this and not just those night-time shows.
