No.
They only do Day-Of predictions if its a huge week, with many huge releases, or an artist is expected to exceed predictions first week sales.
Never if its just a popular artist.

I didn't say anything about it being a popular artist. What I said stands. If the first day sales are something to gawk about, they'll post an announcement immediately.

The sales have to be either huge, or there's gotta be something interesting going on - like Fantasia overperforming to the point of potentially snatching the #1.

This week’s big releases include Warner Bros.’ Josh Groban, Big Machine’s Rascal Flatts, Island/IDJ’s Rihanna, Atlantic’s Kid Rock, Columbia’s Jackie Evancho, Capitol Nashville’s Keith Urban, Universal Motown’s Nelly, 19/RCA’s Lee DeWyze and Victory's A Day to Remember, which is already exploding in digital sales at iTunes.

Next week
1. Josh Groban
2. Susan Boyle/Rascal Flatts
3. Rascal Flatts/Susan Boyle
4. Taylor Swift
5. Rihanna/Kid Rock
6. Kid Rock/Rihanna
Really a toss-up with Kid Rock.

I think that means Josh is a lock on #1, but #2 could be anyone cause look:
This week’s releases include Broken Bow’s Jason Aldean, Arista Nashville’s Brad Paisley, Columbia’s Neil Diamond, Hear Music’s Elvis Costello, Capitol/EMI’s Good Charlotte, Star Trak/Interscope’s N.E.R.D., Island/IDJ’s Mariah Carey and Fader’s Matt & Kim, among others.
Taylor Swift (Big Machine) 340-360k
*Jason Aldean (Broken Bow) 190-205k
Sugarland (Mercury Nashville) 60-65k
*Mariah Carey (Island/IDJ) 50-55k
Lil Wayne (Cash Money/Universal Motown) 35-40k
Kings of Leon (RCA/RMG) 35-40k
Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) 35-40k
*Neil Diamond (Columbia) 30-35k
Elton John & Leon Russell (Decca) 27-30k
*Brad Paisley (Arista Nashville) 21-24k
*Matt & Kim (Fader) 21-24k
Lady Antebellum Merry Little Christmas (Capitol Nashville/EMI) 21-24k
Darius Rucker (Capitol Nashville/EMI) 21-24k
Rod Stewart (J/RMG) 21-24k
Katy Perry (Capitol/EMI) 21-24k
Trey Songz (Atlantic) 21-24k
*Debuts (11/4p)
They put Brad Paisley second, but Mariah came in second and she was at the bottom.

Regardless of where Loud debuts, it's sales will be good.
Sales > Position.

My god...its just so hard, to see so many people debut at #1, when RiRi has pulled numbers with every single album that could have debut at #1 if they were released a different week.
With sales now, even MOTS could have debut at #1

B.o.B debuted at #1 with 84K, less than half of what Rated R opened with. He's just one example, I could name more. Rated R has also sold more than twice as much as that album with total sales.
I would rather debut at #5 with 200K+ than be #1 with less sales.
