For what? Can I have your source then? When did you find the numbers? Don't act like no one was using Mediatraffic, if we don't count the IFPI (and even the IFPI don't give us the numbers actually), it's the only site we have to know about WW sales. Everyone looks at WW sales every week on Mediattrafic and I'm sure you do, so just stop.

Relax. Is not that serious, go out and take some air.
If you don't agree then that's ok. Who really cares though?

Well, I simply agree with the real (even if we will never know the real sales of an album) sales.
I'm sorry btw but my God, it's just so shocking to see that people can vote for Breakaway when Let Go sold 6M copies more.

My sales are:
Let Go: 17 Million
Missundaztood: 14 Million
Breakaway: 13 Million
In the U.S it was Breakaway for sure based on Singles. Album sales are about the same for all 3 in the U.S
Worldwide is much more difficult to tell.
Let Go has more album sales, Complicated, and I'm With You, and appealed to all ages.
Missundaztood has Get The Party started, the image alone, helped Linda Perry have a writing career
Breakaway has 4 pretty big Singles and helped launch Dr. Luke and Max Martin into the Pop scene.
They are all kind of = in terms of overall impact and I don't live outside the U.S so I don't know.
I will admit that I voted for Missundaztood because it was losing and I couldn't decide...

Sales : Let Go 17M - Miss 14M - Break away 12M
Singles : Let Go had 2 #1 Worldwides hit (Complicated, I'm With You), 3 #1 on US Pop radio, Complicated was the best selling single of 2002. Kelly only had BOU which reached #1 WW
Quality : Let Go had 8 Grammy nods
Impact : Avril's Let Go started a trend and make pop/rock become one of the most popular gerne last decade. And everyone dressed exactly like her in 2002-2003. Kelly is my second fav artist and I also like Pink alot but i can't see their eras have any impact. They were very successful though.
Memorability : It's hard to tell because we can't measure this thing.

You're right about everything except the album sales in US :
Let Go - 6.8 million
Breakaway - 6 million
Miss - somewhere between 5-6 million
So Let Go basically outsold the other two everywhere

Though Breakaway did have hit singles, it didn't have the same cultural effect.
And Missundaztood was also a great album, too.
Let Go > Missundaztood = Breakaway

This is all so backwards. Without Missundaztood, there wouldn't be Stripped or any song ever produced by Linda Perry. Without Breakaway, SUBG and it's 10 million clones wouldn't have happened.
What did Let Go do exactly? It sold a **** ton and put Avril on the map, but the album is by far the worst and the era is the least memorable.

This is delutional . How old were you back to 2002 ? I mean, do you know exactly how huge Let Go was ? Wow, everybody worn top with tie like Avril and people talked about her all the time. When you turned on the music channel, she was always there
And why you're saying it's the least memorable ??? Any proof for that ??
And without Let Go, Breakaway would've never happened . Not mention that Breakaway (the song) was written for Let Go.
And i don't get that Stripped has anything to do with Missunderstood ??? They're totally different . Just because they have the same producer ??? You're funny

I was 14... And I own all 3 of these albums, and I do know how massive it was, but all I was saying is it had less lasting impact, and isn't all the memorable. I never denied the impact it had when it was out. There's a difference.

Breakaway was much bigger when it comes to the singles. Kelly also made Dr.Luke relevant because of how huge Since U Been Gone was and every major artists wants to work with him these days. Breakaway also broke a top 40 record, there was always at least one song on the top 40 chart of the breakaway album for 116 weeks straight which is a record yet to be broken.
More sales doesn't mean it's more successful. The breakaway era imprinted Kelly as a major popstar that is responsible for the amazing longevity and her loyal fanbase she has until this day.
Sales Success: Let Go
Single Success: Breakaway
Impact: Breakaway
Longevity: Breakaway
The only song I can remember from Let Go is complicated.

Exactly. I mean, yeah that era was huge, but it's gone and no one really cares about that album or it's singles anymore. It had some awesome singles though.

Let Go is ashamed of its 37 weeks in the top 10

I think M!ss had the longest-lasting impact and managed to produce a true long-lasting superstar that is still on top after over a decade.

The Breakaway era was the biggest. Kelly Clarkson at her peak.

Just because you and some people can't remember doesn't mean it's forgotten. Well, I'm with was sung by a X-Factor contestant last year and shot up into Top 20 on UK itunes chart last year . And people still remember Avril as Sk8erBoi image.
