I don't have time to reply to each of these comments individually but thanks for all the great responses. I pre-made quite a few updates yesterday so on these school nights when I'm busy I can basically just copy-paste.
140 Gym Class Heroes f/Neon Hitch "Ass Back Home"
Now we come to the return of Gym Class Heroes. Travie McCoy isn't a very good rapper and I think he knows it, but somehow I always enjoy their songs. The lyrics in this song are actually somewhat clever and I like the theme about someone who you never get to see and you just want them to "get their ass back home". However, what really kept this song from being ranked higher was the chorus. I can't stand Neon Hitch's voice, I would rather have had almost anyone else singing it. And the chorus is a fundamental thing in Gym Class Heroes songs; since Travie isn't known for his rapping skill, it's the part of the song that gets the most attention. Fortunately I like their other collaborations much better. This is the first of two songs by Gym Class Heroes in the list.
139 Karmin "Brokenhearted"
It always bothers me how the title of this song is so misleading. It's talking about being brokenhearted, yet it's so upbeat and happy. Honestly, I just love the song because it's so catchy and fun, and it has a huge replay value. It also balances Amy's rapping and singing MUCH better than in Hello. However, I do think this song is quite generic, a lot of the time I would be trying to think of the chorus and end up singing Domino or Last Friday Night. I don't think Karmin has found their identity in the pop music scene yet and they better do it quickly if they want to save their career. This is the last of two songs by Karmin in the list.
138 Florida Georgia Line "Cruise"
Country music has never been my favorite genre, and I didn't like a whole lot of country singles this year, but here's a notable exception. It's such a carefree song, I can't be depressed when I'm listening to it. And when I'm in the car and it comes on the radio, honestly it makes me want to do exactly what the song says; blast the song on full volume, "roll my windows down and cruise". I'm so glad that of all the new country artists, Florida Georgia Line was one of the few to really break through this year, and I hope to hear a lot more from them in the future. This is the only song by Florida Georgia Line in the list.
137 The Black Keys "Gold on the Ceiling"
Let me just say I never could have predicted this band's success. I mean, when I listen to their music, it's like a bluesy rock and roll garage band throwback. They always stay true to their musical sound no matter how much success they get and I respect them for that. This isn't one of their stronger songs, but I still really enjoy it. It sounds like something The Beatles might have released in their later years. This is the first of two songs by The Black Keys in the list.
136 Hot Chelle Rae f/New Boyz "I Like It Like That"
Yeah I know this song was released in 2011, but it still enjoyed much of its success into 2012 so I decided to include it here. The party songs by these pop-punk bands are my ultimate guilty pleasures, no matter how generic they are. I'm really glad that Hot Chelle Rae could come out with another hit and prove they weren't a one-hit wonder, even if it did require a slight discount on iTunes It does kinda hurt me though to see them having success with generic songs like this, when masterpieces like Bleed were completely paid dust. This is the first of two songs by Hot Chelle Rae in the list.
135 Jason Mraz "I Won't Give Up"
I don't know quite what Jason was thinking when he changed his style like this. I mean, he didn't need to, he looked cute before and now he looks like a homeless hippie But I digress lol. He won me back over when he released this beautiful, if not slightly boring ballad as his lead single. I love how the first part of the song is so melancholy and quiet and then it suddenly explodes when he gets to "even the stars they burn". However, by the time the song did pick up I would sometimes lose interest. I really want him to release another upbeat single like The Remedy, I'm already disappointed in his second single choice. This is the only song by Jason Mraz in the list.
134 Zedd f/Matthew Koma "Spectrum"
And now here's the first electronic single to appear in the countdown. This genre is very hit and miss for me, if the songs are produced well they can be epic, but if they are overproduced then they become grating and annoying, and if they are underproduced they can put you to sleep. Zedd seemed to have found that happy medium with Spectrum. I love the vocals in the song, and I wish I could say more about the lyrics but there are barely any, which is the one downfall of this song. I don't like it when songs just repeat a single line or verse the whole time (see: Barbra Streisand by Duck Sauce, Memories by David Guetta), and while this time it was a little more than a verse, I would've loved to see a little more lyrical creativity. This is the only song by Zedd in the list.
133 Red Hot Chili Peppers "Brendan's Death Song"
I'm kind of annoyed with RHCP right now. I mean, they had the chance to make a big comeback in 2011 with the increasing amount of rock music finding mainstream success. But then they released that weak ass lead single, and where they could have redeemed themselves by releasing the very creative-sounding music video directed by Kreayshawn, they messed up again by scrapping that and releasing a damn performance video. Like, really? Despite the mess I actually like this song. I was waiting for them to release another slower song and it shows off Anthony's vocal range very well. This is the only song by Red Hot Chili Peppers in the list.
132 Outasight "Tonight Is the Night"
Another song from 2011 that maintained its success into 2012. I first heard it when Outasight performed it on The X Factor (US) and I immediately recognized it as "that song from the Pepsi commercial". The "wooh-wooh-wooh"s are so catchy, it's like the perfect hook that constantly gets stuck in your head Unfortunately the rest of the song couldn't live up to that promise, I couldn't find myself getting into the rap verses or even the first part of the chorus. I guess this song will live on forever in my memory as the "wooh-wooh" song This is the last of two songs by Outasight in the list.
131 Christina Aguilera "Your Body"
Christina had such a huge opportunity to come back with this single, but I knew from the moment it debuted on the Hot 100 that it wasn't gonna happen. Her sales would just fall quickly and never quite recover, just like with NMT. And that's a shame, because Your Body is really better than most of the hit pop singles released this year. It is a little oversung, but that's better than undersung or sung with heavy autotune . I just wish she hadn't chosen this as the lead single, because even though it's a good song, she should have learned from NMT that when she does sexified, ****ty dance songs, the public just isn't here for them. This is the only song by Christina Aguilera in the list.

To be fair, I think she should have learned that with "Dirrty."
