You know, quite a few of the DCAU DVD movies have been kind of meh, lately. I used to buy them, religiously. Now, not I rent/stream them on Amazon. I bought "Son of the Bat" because I love little Damien, but if The Killing Joke got an R rating, then hopefully, they're going all out. I hope the rating is for more than just four letter words.

If you don't read the comics you can watch some of the animated movies so you can understand the plot of the future live action movies that will be released. These are the best:

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
Just awesome and maybe they can adapt this in the future.

Batman: Assault on Arkham
Suicide Squad will be heavily influenced by this.

Batman: Under the Red Hood
Hopefully the next solo Batman movie will adapt this one.

Justice League: War and Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
In the first one, the Justice League battles Darkseid, and the second the Atlanteans. Next year's live action Justice League will probably adapt one of these.

Wonder Woman
Origin story of Diana. Will be a little different in the live action, tho.

Honorable mention: Batman: Year One, one of my favorites.

Batman v Superman had some elements of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 and Superman: Doomsday.

The best one was the first one Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, but Under the Red Hood is definitely a classic. Even the DCAU Green Lantern dvd movies were good. I finally got around seeing First Flight and Emerald Knights a few years ago, when they were streaming on Netflix, and both were surprisingly good!

If DC can make a Justice League movie where they fight the Legion of Doom OR where the flash gets involved in an alternate reality(like The Flashpoint paradox) that'd be awesome.

I am dreaming about a movie where they face The Legion of Doom. Where the Legion uses Batman's plans to stop every Justice League memeber in case they go rogue.

Superman vs Metallo/Armored Lex
Batman vs Bane/Red Hood
Flash vs Zoom/Captain Cold/Captain Boomerang
Aquaman vs Black Manta
Wonder Woman vs Circe/Cheetah
Green Lantern vs Sinestro
Shazam vs Black Adam

And Cyborg playing around in the back because he is such a non event he doesn't even have an iconic villain.

A Stormwatch/Authority movie would scalp (but probably flop b/c of the lack of familiar faces + people would confuse it with JL).

Kings might be able to get a show on The CW or something dou.

i remember i watched an animated movie a while ago, where the JL travelled to an alternate dimension, and there were two Flash-like characters and in the end one of them died trying to close a wormhole. does anyone know what this is?

DONT !!! itll ruin it for you, the comics featuring harly quinn are badly written, and only made money becasue people will buy anything with harley quinn in it. They finally put on a decent writer now but you wont enjooy it much

OT: What do you guys think of DC/WB using Darkseid in the first Justice League movie? He's not confirmed yet, but they teased him so much in Batman v Superman I think it's almost impossible he won't be the villain of the movie. I actually wish it was someone else (Brainiac) but hey.

I like it. Darkseid was the first Justice League villain in New 52, so i see nothing wrong with that. Besides, the best Justice League stories are alternate universes and such. Uniting the team with someone like Darkseid makes sense.

Besides, the DC hate is strong already. If they use Darseid after Marvel uses Thanos, people will aay that they are copying them. People sill still say it even though Thanos is a Darkseid rip off.

We can since they're kinda canon with the live action films but I'm so excited it got the R rating

I just watched the sneak peek that came with the Justice League vs. Teen Titans movie and it was so good.

Which ones have been meh? All of the Justice League based ones are greatness but the Batman ones aren't all that great.
I've only seen the first one (I think it was Son of Batman) and I'm waiting on Bad Blood and Batman vs. Robin to hit Netflix (if they will ever).

Oh if they get a show, it better be Netflix. I want a Daredevil/Jessica Jones type of show for Midnighter and Apollo.
