I've had that fear too
I know he dies in the books...so, I've been afraid for him since season 1
I posted this on my blog a few days ago. Basically, my theories on who's going to die.
CLICK
So the promo promised a death. And I’ve been thinking about this long and hard. I’ve realized there are a few worthy candidates of said fate and I think now is as good a time as any to share them.
Toby Cavanaugh
Why:
He died in the books.
He has a tendency to get involved even when he’s told not to.
Everyone hates him.
“A” has been keeping an eye on him.
He lives in the same house as Jenna.
He’s closest to suicidal than any of the other characters
Why not:
Marlene King wouldn’t do that to us.
Since he fell off a roof in the promo, it would be too obvious.
Keegan wrote a letter to the staff (with Ian and Tyler) saying “askhfjhsdgksdjhag, etc….See you next season.” But MAYBE, that last bit was for Tyler and Ian. Hmm.
Garret Reynolds
Why:
He’s an asshole and “A” wants to be the only life-ruiner in these girls’ lives (hence: getting Noel suspended and killing Ian.)
He’s always in the worst places at the worst times.
He’s very sketchy and the sketchy ones always die.
He’s dating Jenna which is like playing in traffic with your eyes closed (no blind-joke intended…okay, intended.)
Why not:
He’s a cop and cops have a way of getting out of everything.
Caleb Rivers
Why:
He’s not in the books.
He doesn’t do much, so it won’t be too detrimental to the plot.
Tyler said Caleb was going to “get more involved” this season and things were going to “get dangerous for him.”
It would torture Hanna, which is what “A” probably wants…it’s been a while since anything bad happened to Hanna specifically.
He’s pretty sketchy and like I said about Garret, the sketchies always die.
Why not:
Again, the letter to the staff.
And because, Caleb’s death wouldn’t be that big of a twist. Yes, I’d cry myself to sleep after watching it, but he’s not that important to the plot…so, why write off a perfectly good piece of eye candy? It would feel like a waste of a death.
Jackie I-can’t-remember-her-last-name
Why:
“A” probably finds her just as annoying as everyone else.
Ezra confessed his love for Aria to the parents, so Jackie’s probably going to get involved where she’s not wanted…thus, “A” will have some fun with that.
She’s not in the books.
Nobody likes her anyways.
Marelene wants to make Aria somewhat interesting so she’ll give her the honor of killing Jackie…
Why not:
Because screenwriters are trolls and they’re going to keep Jackie alive for the sole purpose of annoying us.
Mona Vanderjdfhgskljdhgf
Why:
She dies in the books.
She’s been getting too sketchy for her own good.
If she’s “A” then she’s going to die for sure.
Why not:
If she’s not “A” in the show, what’s the point of killing her off?
Lucas Gottesman
Why:
Because the screenwriters want to torture us by killing off the most huggable character.
Because he always seems to be around.
Because he’s kind of sketchy too.
Because Hanna will never love him and he becomes angsty about it; thus, landing him in a heap of trouble.
He could be “A” and we all know “A” is obviously going to die.
Everyone except Hanna & friends—and I guess Caleb—appear to hate Lucas.
Why not:
Because they want to develop his character even more? I don’t know. I really don’t see why they would keep Lucas alive. I guess I have to watch the season to really know.
Jason DiLaurentis
Why:
Because he’s ridiculously sketchy.
Because he’s the brother of a murder victim.
Because of NAT, he probably knows more than he should know for his own good.
Because he’s been kind of depressive lately, he may just kill himself.
Why not:
He’s a sex god and, again, why waste a perfectly good piece of eye candy?
They can do more with his character after this season.
He can serve a lot of importance AFTER finding out who “A” is.
Maya St. Germain
(I just want to say that I wrote “Maia Roberts” and then erased it thinking, “Oops. Wrong fandom.” I’m too obsessed with The Mortal Instruments. DX)
Why:
She’s possibly “A”.
The fact that she came back so randomly can’t have been merely “out of the blue.”
There is something seriously wrong with that girl.
If she’s “A”, she’s going to die because of that.
Why not:
She might just disappear again without warning.
They might want to do more with her character.
Aria Montgomery
Why:
Because I hate her.
Why not:
Because the writers hate me.
Jenna Marshall
Why:
She dies in the books.
She’s always in the most dangerous places.
She probably knows too much for her own good.
She’s sketchy as freaking hell.
She’s possibly in NAT.
Why not:
It would be too obvious.
Noel Kahn (hope I’m spelling the last name right.)
Why:
He’s starting to seep back into the story, which could only mean something bad will happen to him or he will do something bad to someone else.
Why not:
The whole…eye candy thing…
Mike Montgomery
Why:
Because he’s the most angst-ridden character ever written and he may very well kill himself. He’s probably put in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Why not:
Because he’s so young and the writers couldn’t possibly torture us like that. DX I mean, if you’re going to kill off a Montgomery member, kill Aria for god’s sake!
Ezra Fitz
Why:
Mike will kill him.
Byron will kill him.
Ella will kill him.
Jackie will kill him for not wanting her.
He’s a very oblivious character. He’ll try to protect Aria, only to walk straight into a trap.
Why not:
Because he and Aria are obviously endgame. :P
Anne
Why:
Just because.
Why not:
Because she skipped town.
I don’t know. It could be anyone. I’m just dying with anticipation for the season to start up and I’m not ready for anyone to die. D;
Unless it’s Jackie or Aria. DX
Of course, every since they said it would be a beloved character, that rules out:
Garret
Jackie
Mona (maybe)
Jenna
Jason (maybe)
Anne
Noel (maybe)
I really don't know.
This is driving me crazy DX
