This isn't a new idea. Harvey Milk High School opened in 1985. Shouldn't you guys be worried about those people who are skeptical about the apparent gay agenda brought by these schools?
I'm actually shocked by the response in this thread. Talking about tolerance, huh?
These schools are helpful for pupils who are bullied in their schools for being gay and need to transfer to another school which is tolerant and loving. What's so wrong with the idea?
What an awful idea. There shouldn't even have to be an LGBT community! Everyone should just accept others and their sexual orientations. This is so stupid.
The school would be LGBTI inclusive, not exclusive. So, while it's designed for LGBTI young people struggling in mainstream schools, it will be open to anybody from any gender or sexuality that needs support.
Honestly I don't see the issue, it'd be good for kids being bullied due to their sexuality or gender identity, it's not segregated from regular schools, but it's built around being accommodating and accepting to all and it sounds less likely that there'll be bullying that gets swept under the rug by the school systems bureaucracy

This!
It'd make it easier for students to be in an environment that they know if they end up being LGBT+ that they won't face backlash for coming out, and it'll make it easier to socialize with LGBT+ people in ways that won't usually happen in typical schools
