Also, don't be afraid to drop classes. I always over-registered for classes and then dropped it after a week or two.

Saved so much hassle, though it doesn't work as well once you get into upper division.

Also, a lot of schools will let you rent books as needed. You can order one after knowing if you need it or not, and then rent one from the school until your copy arrives. Or just buy an online copy, those are super cheap and instantaneous.

I'm going to pray most of my books are available online for free or else I might have to get tricky with Amazon I really don't want physical books. I took Sociology 101 online my senior year and I never even touched the stupid $130 book (which my school paid for) because I was able to find it for free online. Is it really any better to have a physical book? I don't feel like I would ever highlight or anything bc OCD

If the class is big, you'll most likely just get a big midterm and a big final. It's nervewracking because you don't have many chances. Although I guess it also depends on your major.

Never ever buy your books before your first class. A good 50% of classes don't even use the books and you won't need them at all.

My school was just had one fixed rate for full-time and was open ended (12hrs or more). One kid from Vietnam graduated in two years by taking 30hrs a semester

If you have a digital copy of a book, free or purchased, you can always print out the pages you need to review in the printing lab if you need a physical reference.
