You know what, that's kinda what I'm thinking too. Maybe she (or her managers/publicists/whoever) actually made up this whole story themselves and put it out there just to get people talking about the album and/or believing that it really did go platinum in the first week. If the album is creating a lot of buzz, it's possible that more people might go out and get the album because of that.
This could totally be a marketing ploy on Khia’s part in order to sell more records, and if that’s the case - it’s a pretty smart one (but only if it works.)
She didn't even debut in the Top 200 from the chart's I've seen! There is no possible way she believed that!
This is too much. WAY too much. How could people actually believe she sold over 1 million?
