You know what, that's kinda what I'm thinking too. Maybe she (or her managers/publicists/whoever) actually made up this whole story themselves and put it out there just to get people talking about the album and/or believing that it really did go platinum in the first week. If the album is creating a lot of buzz, it's possible that more people might go out and get the album because of that.
This could totally be a marketing ploy on Khia’s part in order to sell more records, and if that’s the case - it’s a pretty smart one (but only if it works.)
