Just a quick little comparison I created both pulled from their recent performances. While Britney is doing a good job you can see the stiffness in her movement and the difficulty to keep up, it's very 1-2-3-4



Whereas you have Beyoncé who is moving fluidly and organically and faster than Britney

Not only was Britney overrated as a dancer, she was never a good dancer. Mediocre at best. Anyone can memorize a few lines here and there and dance

Clearly she was never a good dancer because look at her now. Now that she can't remember her dance moves she's useless, a literal piece of 4x4 with limbs on stage

Not only this but when you ask for receipts of how she's a good dancer, you get the same three tired performances (or some dummy posts her 2007 VMA performance...lol) like clearly she peaked for a few cute performances but that's it. If anything she's a fluke of a dancer. If she was really a dancer you'd think she would be able to replicate what she did now. It's not like she's 60. She was never good and will never be on Bey's level. Y'all do too much on her, she doesn't deserve the unnecessary hype. It clearly got to her because she keeps letting y'all down with her level

So what if it blew up on Youtube, that's how music videos blow up nowadays. Back in the 90s and 80s MTV was the platform used for music video exposure. Same difference, except Single Ladies still managed to have more impact than any of Britney's choreographies, give credit where credit is due.

The only Britney choreography that is semi-iconic is her BOMT one, but tbh it's more iconic because of her outfit than the actual dance moves

I'll give you Bruno and add Usher, Chris Brown and Paula Abdul I guess. Some other R&B artists that can dance, but they were never really all that relevant.

You can have your opinions on her current dancing, but there's literally no way that you can argue against the fact that at one stage Britney was an absolutely amazing dancer. The videos posted in this thread are proof enough of this.

GP doesn't think about Britney dancing. They remember one thing and one thing only from her on out (2007). And she's a lot less fluid than before, so her choreographed moves aren't as sharp and just looks unpracticed. Despite that, she got pretty good reviews for that Billboard PG performance. So idk.

Beyoncè is the better dancer to the GP if they're being compared. But I was surprised at a (black) family gathering, how many of my members were echoing what most of the Internet (non-Hive) says about Beyonce's dancing (ass shaking, hair patting, other stuff that is said about her choreography). She has a more natural style to her output, but it's obvious there are criticisms. Be it YouTube comments, Twitter mentions, Facebook etc. I've seen it more than just ATRL.

Beyoncè is able to possess a dominance on a stage more than Britney the past decade, too. That allows for the majority to just immediately decide she's top notch.

I will say 2016 Super Bowl was the first time in a long time I was overwhelmed by a Bey performance. The choreography, while still utilizing the criticized elements, was some of her best in forever. I've watched it so many times.
