Madonna is laughing at all the pop girls after reading this thread.
Beyonce, X'tina, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Britney, Katy Perry and every other pop girls in the last 3 decades have all be blessed and approved by Madonna.

Madonna is a legend and icon. Beyoncé is an icon.... she's well on her way. This new release was so big, if she manages to maintain this kind of hype for another 5 years, she'll be as close as anybody has gotten. I believe her tours are only gonna get bigger.
Bey is not talking about sales. And so few people buy records nowadays compared to the 80's and 90's, it's not fair te compare. Still, Beyoncé has managed to sell 130 million solo records and 180-190 million combined records. Nothing to be ashamed about, in fact that puts her right below Mariah and Celine and maybe she'll surpass them with this new release. But as a solo artist, a 130 million is incredible enough.

I believe Beyonce is well on her way to achieving what Madonna accomplished. She has still managed to keep the attention of the general public for a decade now and doesn't use gimmicks to achieve fame or milestones. I mean, who else could sell 800k copies of an album in just 3 short days with absolutely no promo, single, hype, nothing. She is truly the queen of our generation at least. Anyone who disagrees can kindly exit the thread as their opinion is invalid to the 1M+ copies sold in one week. Their faves could never. Now bow down bitches.
