Some animals are idiots.. this isn't going to help her.. If she loses dr.luke, who will want to work with her? She will get some bad rep as an unworkable pop star.. not to mention she still needs direction on how to be a successful popstar..
Don't come crying later when she gets dropped, and then her next album sounds like crap because there is no pop dance...
Everything needs to be done in moderation.. and luke has helped a lot.. she should have more freedom, but she shouldn't cut ties with luke.. she just needs to talk to him and the label
ALSO, all you annoying fans stating this "8 album contract deal" have never brought receipts about this actually being true... that is still a rumour

However, this is stupid. Dr. Luke cannot be the reason why 'Warrior' flopped. While it's easy to say "Dr. Luke doesn't let Ke$ha have any creative freedom," take another look at Warrior's tracklisting and production credits. Who produced "Thinking Of You", "Dirty Love", "Wonderland", "Last Goodbye" and "Gold Trans Am", some of Ke$ha's favourite tracks from Warrior (as confirmed in her documentary, 'Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life')?
]If anything, Ke$ha's the one to blame for Warrior's underperformance. Ke$ha wanted to show a rockier side on Warrior, and regardless of how much she wanted to show and how much she ended up showing, she still did just that. Warrior was a departure from the Animal and Cannibal sound, due to Ke$ha's request, and ultimately she paid the price. Dr. Luke tried to pick the most Animal-like tracks from Warrior (in the forms of Die Young, C'mon and Crazy Kids) but that didn't work either.
Animals are quick to say "But Machine Gun Love was rejected because of Dr. Luke!" and act like Warrior is full of Die Young's because of Dr. Luke, but they forget to mention the "Dirty Love" and "Wonderland" type tracks of the record. Animals need to stop giving the good sis Dr. Luke such a hard time just because they can't come to terms with the fact that it was actually mainly Ke$ha's fault that 'Warrior' flopped. She wrote the songs that made the album, therefore she has to wear the blame.
Don't get me wrong, I love love love 'Warrior' as a whole and Ke$ha is still my #1, but facts are facts and I'm not just going to sit here blindly and blame Dr. Luke for everything. From the general public's perspective, I can understand why 'Warrior' wasn't as appealing as to a fan's perspective.

I agree with you, but Dr. Luke was the one picking the flop singles, not K$. They are both to blame as far as the album goes as a whole because she wrote the songs and RCA and Luke picked the final tracklisting for the project. He has as much or more input on the albums feel and sound than she did. Then again, most of this eras flopping came from single selections and due to the amount of poor promotion because this album was still mostly pop with a hint of rock.
One of the main factors Animal & Cannibal did so well was because her face was plastered to every show, festival, tv lineup etc. The promotion was INSANE which reflected her sales WW. The Warrior era has not even half the promotion those 2 eras had. The only big promotion move they made specifically for the album was sending her on a WW tour.
I think that everyone is trying to blame Dr. Luke for the whole thing which is horrible because it's no all his fault but his single selections and reused beats need to be more thought out if hes going to have the full reigns in that area.

Urhm... first of all.. warrior is still a pop album.. there is barely any rock influences, and is overall better then animal + cannibal..
I think the blame isn't towards luke.. the songs are great and could have done well.. I think honestly that the promotion has been fatal.. and some of the singles were picked at the wrong time. Crazy Kids flopped because there was no promo, and will.i.am ruined the track..
c'mon flopped because of the shooting which made the switch from die young to c'mon confusing to radio and thus messing the promotion they had in store.
The album could have done well if there was a push for the singles but the era is dead now.. I wouldn't blame Ke$ha.. I would just blame luck tbh.. and RCA promotions somewhat... flops happen.. we will just have to see how album 3 goes

Dr. Luke is only the "executive producer" because he stamps his name on everything Ke$ha does and she has no say in it. When will y'all learn? The reason Ke$ha tours so much is because it's the only damn thing Luke can't tell her what to do, can't take money from her, can't suck all the energy out of and make it his. I'm happy to see fans sticking up for her though that just worries me more, he'll probably do some evil dictator ******** now
And Dr. Luke was a strong hand as to why Warrior flopped. C'Mon and Crazy Kids as singles. That's enough right f**king there when you've got songs like Supernatural and Last Goodbye that are never going to see the light of day now. Those would be much better choices regardless of how much they'd flop (which, in reality, they would not flop all that worse than the ones that were released).

Her brother is the director, but Dr. Luke steps in and puts his "production" in it and monitors it because Ke$ha is "his artist" and he rules over her like that.
And yes, it IS Ke$ha's fault for signing the contract. But to be fair, NOBODY expects to be treated the way he treats her. Like, it might've been dumb (she was suggested not to sign that by many lawyers) but she was 18 and naive. Dr. Luke took advantage of that.

Also, the 8-album contract IS. Real. This **** isn't a rumor, it came from the closest source to Ke$ha you can possibly imagine.
If Ke$ha doesn't have Dr. Luke, she has other artists to work with. Greg Kurstin (Animal, Love into the Light) and maybe like the guy she wrote Woo Hoo with. She has worked with TONS of people but all that work was shelved for Dr. Luke. Yes, I do like Dr. Luke's production. No, I don't like him having a terrifying reign over artists that don't deserve it.
I'll stick by Ke$ha, she will make hits. Maybe it won't be the same but I don't give a ****.

It doesn't matter if you're skeptical really. You can keep being skeptical!
And no, PAARDH is one of her worst songs and is nowhere near her best pop rock IMO

For her next albums, he should just produce half the album, and let her work with other producers for the other half. Thats the ONLY thing that should happen with Ke$has career.

THIS tbh..
there are so many indie-pop/punk-rock producers out there who know how to make a radio hit.
To name a few:
- Greg Kurstin
- Matt Squire
- Jeff Bhasker
- Paul Epworth
- Billy Mann
- Butch Walker
- Tom Neville
Not to mention the countless dance/pop producers that are out there that make fresher hits then Luke. She just needs to be allowed to go out and explore other sounds and have them tweaked by Luke not scratched.
All this petition is going to do is further drive a wedge between ke$ha and Luke which will only hurt her in the long run because he will just keep giving her recycled, boring tracks.
