To the vegans in this thread; shouldn't a plant be guaranteed this right as well? It is a living thing after all. It produces offspring, it is alive, it thrives off the earth, just as animal does. It also supplies one of our primary resources as well (aka, oxygen). Just because it doesn't produce a sound or movement makes it more acceptable to eat rather than animal? What's the difference?
