If the tracking period was still at the end of Nov then i don't see how Unapologetic could sell 2.3M. They must have changed their tracking period hence why the report came late this time around.

It wasn't really debuting number one all over Europe, only in Germany and UK (the first week). It only became number one in Euro only on October 8, 2011 (or October 22 since Billboard publishes chart data in a date that's two weeks in advance) and started its 10-week run. And if the tracking period is on November, massive sales must have been pouring in in its last 7 weeks atop the Europe, not counting its first 3 spent outside the tracking period)
Its behemoth sales during this amazing run must have been part of last year's top 10.
There's no way you can prove that Rihanna is front loaded in Asia, since there many countries in Asia, except Japan and Korea, have no sales-based charts.
I don't think the tracking period has changed. and to account for Unapologetic sales, Def Jam must have "shipped" more and not sold.
