Yes, she's influenced a few of her peers. Notably after DC came out rap-singing in 1998/1999 and popularized it. You had acts like Sisqo and Jennifer Lopez who copied the style. Crazy in Love's horn sample and go go beat were extremely influential. Usher, Amerie, Christina Milian, Christina Aguiler, Pussycat Dolls all followed in CIL's footsteps. Irreplaceable was very influential, so much so that the media pretty much labeled every mid-tempo Neyo/Stargate production an Irreplacable copy.
Rich Harrison created the horn sound and gave it to every artist he worked with. Stargate and Ne-yo reused gave the irreplaceable sound to everyone they worked with. This has nothing to do with Bey herself. Beyone did not popularize rap singing. It had been a mainstay in R&B for years. T-boz says hello
I will say that for the most she's bigger than her music(if that make sense).
I actually agree. There's no denying she is a very powerful celebrity, to the point where she overshadows her own music. She has plenty of memorable hits too though.

Of course. People who take inspiration from Bey (ie. Rihanna) are hugely successful. I don't know if I'd say she changed the scene all by herself, but she definitely started a movement.
Why are people talking about hits? You don't need to have a bunch of #1 hits to have an impact. Just look at Shania Twain and her undeniable impact on country music.

These kind of ignorant comments are really embarassing. What did Rihanna take inspiration from Beyoncé on? Apart from her earlier days when they had similar styles and that's only because Rihanna was just starting and didn't have the same amount of creative control that Beyoncé did. Still MOTS and AGLM do not contain Bey influenced music. GGGB forward Rihanna completely became her own person. So please tell me how Rihanna took inspiration from Beyoncé and found success? Educate me please.

Rihanna herself has said she is inspired by Beyonce and her music so.

She was influenced by tons of people ranging from Mariah Carey, to Brandy, to Madonna (who would seem fitting to be her biggest inspiration), to Bob Marley to Whitney Houston. Beyonce was an inspiration as far as wanting to BE a singer herself, I won't deny that. Bey afterall was like the only successful female black solo artist at that time anyways. But you attributing her aspiring to be a singer partially due to Beyoncé to her successes throughout her career is ignorant. Rihanna is her own individual.
