[QUOTE=Eaten By Lions;13128665]I don't think Gaga will do an Andy Warhol type theme with her album. And even if she does, Andy Warhol has been listed as an influence for her since before X even came out with her Keeps Getting Better and Bionic eras.
But Gaga debuted in 2008 and Keeps Getting Better was released in 2008???

"I wanted to give them a little sneak preview of what's to come, and the vein of the new material is sort of futuristic — what was inspiring me at the moment, and it has a very pop-art feel visually."
These songs, as well as the album's single "Keeps Gettin' Better," are only a taste of what Aguilera fans can expect for her next album, which she was inspired by the likes of cultural icons such as Blondie, Velvet Underground chanteuse Nico, and artists Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.
One recent source would be Lady Gaga's infamous
cake dance video... that's a reference to Warhol, son.

We can't ignore the importance of history son. Gaga did Warhol first. So until someone else comes along and reclaims it with a successful era, Warhol influences are Gaga's to use.

The Genie in a Bottle performance that looked like Gaga was before the CD came out. By then Gaga was already a rising star. Thus why she got slammed with those Gaga comparisons that ended up ruining her career.
No, Gaga had been inspired by Warhol since early days of her career
She speaks about Warhol here...
She made alter ego called Candy Warhol as a mix of Andy Warhol adn his muse Candy Darling...
She also said in 2009 that she sits and talks to him for hours, as if he's in the room with her. She says he tells her what to wear and controls her creativity, which is obviously not possible or true but she said this i don't know why...
Besides that Lady Gaga is not the first or last person to be inspired by pop art and Warhol...
Those videos were uploaded in 2010, Otherwise Christina said this in July 2008:
"I just started recording it, but I can tell you that this record is all about fun. I’ll be referencing Pop Art, Andy Warhol’s art. So it will [sound] fun and fast-paced, and visually, it will be full of color...." http://www.justjared.com/2008/07/02/...r-august-2008/
"ARTPOP" is the upcoming release from Lady Gaga, said to be inspired by 60's art
and Warhol...
No, no one said it was going to be inspired by Warhol and 60s art, she said it's inspired by the future and ARTPOP, not Pop Art. How predictable and basic would it be for her to channel Warhol with an album called ARTPOP?

A) just because it's called ARTPOP doesn't mean it has anything to with with the Pop Art culture. Even if it does it doesn't follow that Xtina was the influence. Gaga can get her influences directly from Warhol and others.
B) The album hasn't been released yet, so how the hell could anyone actually know the answer.
C) Xtina can stand on her own and so can Gaga. Success from Gaga does not detract from XTina, or vice versa. Stan wars are stupid. If your ego is so dependent on Xtinas place in the pop world, or on Gaga's place in the pop world, then you have massive self image problems.
I do feel that Christina does get kinda shafted with her artistic visions. The visuals for KGB & Bionic were flawless and she was the first pop girl to work with Sia, and now everyone wants to.
We all know Christina Aguilera is inspired by Madonna, but is still very
much her own, separate artist -- what point are you making here, Mosama?
...Vin
Xtina isn't the first or only person to be inspired by andy warhol and popart. Lots of artists are inspired by popart and andy warhol. Gaga is just another artist inspired by popart. It had nothing to do with xtina. If you would have used Madonna's pop art cover as an example and hypothesized the general public will draw connections between her 'doing it first' and gaga copying it would have been more believable. But xtina? No ones even heard of bionic.
Gaga did Warhol first. So until someone else comes along and reclaims it with a successful era, Warhol influences are Gaga's to use.
You're sounding very delusional, Lions.
And the "Bionic" and "Keeps Gettin' Better (A Decade Of Hits)" eras may not
have been a full-on sales bonanza as originally predicted, but both of
those eras were still successful... and memorable.
