HITS PREDICTION:
YOUR WEAKEND GLASS-HALF-FULL CHART PREVIEW
It's a pretty tight race at this point for #1 next week. We're giving the edge to Justin Bieber, who, coming off a successful SNL appearance, will likely ride the momentum into the weekend. MGMT will provide a strong challenge, however, and may benefit from this weekend's Record Store Day traffic. And unless something unforeseen happens, Columbia will have two entries in the Top 5, the other being neo-progsters Coheed & Cambria. On the downside, this will be just the second time so far this year that the #1 album has sold less than 100k. But looking at the bright side, at this point last year, eight #1 albums had come in under that mark.
