Only in the sense that she's done just about everything she needs to do to be remembere das such. She needs more time, and to "fall from grace" so to speak (either tragedy, controversy or just to slow down) before the GP is comfortable referring to her as such though.

Funny, I think the internet has done the exact opposite. It's so much easier to spread negativity about certain artists, and so much easier to make people who have no opinion of them become tired of them and dislike them due to "overexposure". Half the negative press Beyonce gets (which in turn turns more people against her) are about things that never would have gotten attention 20 years ago (certainly not as quickly and across to so many different demographics) when all we had were televisions and occasional gossip magazines as mediums for pop culture.
Back then it was just the music you released, your performances, and your public persona primarily in interviews that shaped the public's opinions of you, all areas in which Beyonce has had no problem with.
