These privileges you guys speak of, and that women can express themselves more freely are there because of machismo and plain sexism.
It's the belief that women can't fend for themselves (damsile in distress), and that women aren't as strong as guys emotionally, and since they are weak it's acceptable for them to express emotion. You can't hit a girl because again women are seen as the inferior sex and it would be wrong to hit someone lower than you. I'm not exgerating but that's why these things are there.
And girls express themselves more because society tells them too.

Most of the time, yes. We are taught that our most important trait is our looks, and we are constantly judged upon that ahead of our intelligence or skills. Look at female singers like Kelly Clarkson or Adele, they're very talented and successful but what do people mention when they talk about them? Their weight/physical looks. Even if we're at the top of our career field, we still have to deal with criticism on our outer appearance. Men rarely have to deal with this, a man can be ugly, overweight, and it doesn't matter, people will judge him on his talents/skills. A majority of the time it is easier for a man to advance in the work field and they gain respect more easily, women have to prove ourselves over and over again. Then of course there's the biological part of it, periods every month and pregnancy, and worrying that we may lose our jobs if we do fall pregnant/have children and feeling like we have to choose between a career and children. We can't express ourselves sexually without being called a **** or *****, while men are praised for their sexual activities.
There are some times where it is beneficial to be a woman though, like others have said we are allowed to express ourselves (in non sexual ways) without getting much **** for it, it is easier for us to use our looks to get ahead (if we are good looking and thin), it's expected that men not hit us or be physically violent, even if we hit them first. The cons outweigh the pros though, it is still better to be a male in this world. Even if you're gay, you can hide that, while we can't really hide being a female.

I'd say yes. Having periods suck.
And shout out to the women who have to work and then come home and take care of their kids. That's a lot of work. My mom deserves a relaxing Mother's Day

Yes I'm not saying we guys have it easy but women obviously have it harder.
- Period
- Birth
- Sexism
- Fear of rape
- A lot more concerned about their appearence.
- **** shaming
The good thing is they have an easy time getting laid.
Never heard a guy say "now let me get to know you first"

This is true, though I don't think the advantage is enough to outweigh all the disadvantages.
It's more socially acceptable for women to take on different rules and demonstrate a wider range of emotions, but there's still a struggle to be taken seriously (on an equal level to men) in most endeavors.

I think its pretty much an even street.
I've always said, there's no one stupider than a hardcore feminist. I'm all for women's rights, but hot damn these women who call themselves women's rights activists are ****ing morons.

Men have their share of problems as well.
Prostate Cancer
Child Support
Sexism (yes, sexism is a two way street)
Men are just as concerned about apparance as women
So- called Chivalry (Men are expected to be practially doormats for women, I thought it was about equality?)

Not all men get prostate cancer though. Many men never have to deal with that. And for women there is breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Sexism against men is like racism against whites, it's not non-existent but it's so minor it might as well not exist. Women's appearance is 10x more judged and talked about then men's. A man's skills, personality, talents, are all judged above their appearance.

I can only think of like 2 cons of being a guy whereas I can think of probably over 20+ of being a girl.

Yeah.
All the current and pretty much alive misogyny.
Blood coming out of you monthly giving you annoying symptoms.
Being the one who carries the baby messing your figure.
A little weaker physically.
All the media brainwash turning girls into cheap hoes.
If people listens to music by girls people go homophobic on you.
Oppression and strong discrimination is some countries because of religion just for existing.
Girls and guys do some stuff but only the girls are discriminated against.
Not taken seriously by a large part of the population.
Still lower wages.
Repressed for millenniums in the way girls can't take pride of past achievements in the same way as men: William Shakespeare, Immanuel Kant, Plato, etc, etc, etc.
If a man imitates a woman he's bashed, when a woman does the same with men nobody cares.
These and many more reasons.
Girls are like walking heroes.

Yes men have sexism but women face A LOT more than men do.
Men are just as concerned of their appearance as women?? I don't think so haha. I wonder how much men spend in the beauty industry? I would think a lot less than women.
Boohoo men have to open a door for women. The struggle is real.

What's ****ed up about being a man is that you're not allowed to share and show your emotions and friendships between dudes (straight ones) suck so much, a little bit of tenderness between friends won't do no wrong, but I guess that's the way men have shaped this society since centuries ago

Yes. Aside from the body issues we have, such as PMS, we suffer for fashion and beauty.

Most of the points that have been made in defense of men having it hard were/are caused/established by other men. patriarchy is one helluva drug.

The funny thing is that this is still the result of sexism/misogyny (and proof that sexism is bad for everyone).
Men are discouraged from showing emotion/affection because it's a stereotypically feminine trait and there is a fear of being painted as weaker for it.

And not to mention the fact that when a woman gets raped, it's her fault because "she dressed to sexy"

Yeah, that's a major con of being a guy, the funny thing is that, as the dude that pointed it out just before me, that's a byproduct of misogyny.
