You can compare any skill and songwriting is no exception. When you see 2 different people dancing, you'll consider one of them more capable. When you hear 2 people singing, you'll think one of them is more talented. When you listen to 2 different songs, you'll find that one is more well written than the other and the person who came up with the better song is the better songwriter.
Gaga writes about whatever she wants.. And Bloody Mary is by far better written than any Adele song... Let alone that Adele's songs have all similar themes, while Gaga has written about so many different things. And a song being relatable is in no way talent.
My point is that they write, what they want. Just because Gaga has written Jewels and Drugs, doesn't take away from her artistry, because TEOG is probably the best pop song of our generation ...
Everything comes down to preference though, except for really technical things, like the vocal range.
GaGa has written great lyrics in the past, but she also has her extremely embarassing moments ('Venus', 'Swine', 'Donatella' etc), while Adele sticks to a certain style of lyricism and hardly ever fails with it. She's more consistent and more relatable imo.
Those songs weren't supposed to be serious. And Adele has only 2 albums out (most people think she only has 1)
Hometown Glory , My Same , Daydreamer, Cold Shoulder, Crazy For You,I Found A Boy, First Love, Now and then, Painting Pictures. She plays Guitar, Piano, Bass, Celeste, Keyboard and Clarinet.

I stopped right there. You're obviously a huge GaGa fan and you're entitled to your opinion. Each to their own.

I love both of Adele's albums and while the lyrical theme is not all that different, they're both amazing lyrically. And all the GaGa songs I mentioned are meant to be serious with the exception of 'Donatella' maybe. 'Swine' was one of the first songs off of the album she performed and she even named a whole concert 'Swinefest' and she also wanted 'Venus' to be the second single.

You haven't heard Hometown Glory? She wrote it when she was 16 and it's amazing!
I guess you havent done your research before trying to say she can't write music etc.

Wrong again I Found a Boy is on the deluxe edition in Japan. Plus she always writes all of her songs on her guitar/ piano and then works with other people on the production to perfect them. She and the people that have worked with her have said that she always knows how she want the songs melody to be like.

It wasn't on the standard edition for a reason. And the rest were composed by other people
