That wasn't very smart. "Monster" will count as a seperate album but it probably won't sell as well as a new album. She would have been better off releasing an entirely new album, or adding less new tracks so it would count towards sales of "The Fame"...

I still don't get how this is going to work. Are we going to get 2 disks, one for "The Fame" and one for "Monster"? With 8 new tracks, I think that would be the only way to do it without having a ridiculous 22 tracks on one disk or omitting tracks from the original tracklisting...

Yeah it's gonna be 2 discs, one = the fame, two = monster. I think that the reason she didn't just release a new album is that this is just a continuation of the fame. She's said before the label pressured her to release a new one but she didn't feel she had time and wanted to release this new music for the fans anyway.

I never get why people beg for leaked demos to be considered new material on a re-release. I'd rather hear 8 brand NEW songs. Not 80% be songs we've already heard. You have the demos anyways.
