I hope problem can snag a week at #1 at some point
I'm loving all these new top 10's in the past few weeks Ain't It Fun, Love Never Felt So Good, A Sky Full Of Stars, Wiggle, Am I Wrong, Rude, & Summer! Finally more movement
It's hard to imagine that Dark Horse has been popular since released last year and is STILL smashing I mean Katy...her power. I'm glad billboard pointed out how Katy's more experimental sounds that strive away from pure pop are her longest lasting singles (sans Firework).
She should really considering making more of this type of music instead of putting only 1-2 songs like this on her albums
I think Stay With Me by Sam Smith will go to no. 1, dethronizing Fancy and blocking Problem
Very doubtful. Problem is gaining on Fancy and should hit #1 in the next two weeks if Ari is lucky; Sam won't be so quick. However, it's possible for Fancy itself to block Problem if the post-video drop is significant.
I think Dark Horse will get a 23rd week in the top 10. But even when it leaves, just imagine how long it will be in the Top 40 due to streaming? I can see a year on the charts tbh.
I don't think "Dark Horse" is "experimental."
It is different from her super-pop songs, but it's not original or innovative.
And I would think she wouldn't want a bunch of urban-crossover-ready songs so that when they are around it's more of a novelty.

Perhaps experimental was the wrong word for them to use, but they do have a point in noting that Katy sees her greatest stateside success when deviating from her normal sweet, Top 40-centric pop sound.

I see it getting up to three more weeks if she's lucky, and yeah, it'll be hovering around for a very long time.
