Sunny Hill are so... different. Idk how else to describe it, but their electrobops are pretty unique and their older ones were the ones that caught me and made me like them. Sunny Blues is a tragic tale about how Sunny Hill were finally about to get their first full-length studio album in two parts, but presumably the first half flopped too hard for LOEN to bother with the second half. Le crigh. Anyway, Sunny Blues is a collection of fun bops and they really are fun. The single Monday Blues is the most fun and I stan a bit, but I was truly impressed by Get the x Out which is a more mellow track. It's very... immature-sounding? Not sure how to put it. It's a little marching-band-y in the background and the vocals are really soft, so the entire thing sounds really fragile. The song builds though, flipping between I love you and I hate you, climaxing in a huge crash of orchestral sounds while the chorus Get the fuck out is repeated, completely flipping the track and making it sound abusive. It's absolutely genius and the song really impresses me in the context of K-pop. Only mature queens Sunny Hill could pull it off.
