It was enormous, but it's not as obviously apparent today as The Beatles' and Michael Jackson's.

There are some caveats to his influence, though. For instance, he was hugely influential to The Beatles, as were others like Bob Dylan. But The Beatles eventually turned out to be more iconic, critically acclaimed, commercially successful and innovative than them.

I didn't expect her to win I know the Beatles come before her and so does MJ and ABBA. I'm not from a delusional stan base that thinks their fave is better then everyone else including the ones the came way before her.

It's tough to say who genuinely has had more of an impact on culture between MJ and The Beatles. It's much easier (and, admittedly, more of a copout) to say that MJ and The Beatles equally impacted culture in a massive way, just in different ways.

Right!! I love her but her influence really only effects one gender, female empowerment, sexuality and visual performance. Compared to MJ and The Beatles it pales in comparison really..at least in terms of musical impact.

Just because he's the best performer of all time doesn't mean he had the biggest impact. Most people consider Aretha the best vocalist, but she doesn't have one of the biggest impact on pop cultures ever like these 4 artists.

I don't feel as if it's fair to just use todays music right now to show cultural impact. If that were true Madonna and MJ would be much more influential than The Beatles because we see acts like Gaga and Bieber dominating in an era of dance pop.
