Im loving that everyone is underestimating Avril Lavigne. Not one flop record, not one album sold less than 6 million, 5 #1 worldwide singles, 32 million albums sold worldwide.
Underestimate Avril if you want, but she's releasing next year, and she will be at least in the top 3 females next year. She will pwn Katy and Rihanna (As much as I love them 2, they have no chance against Avril's album sales). Beyonce, and Gaga are her only competition.
Please refrain from further references of Ke$ha and Avril...we're keeping this a relevant affair of legends and successful artists - NOT "flavors of the month".

Britney is doing this album to end her contract or some ****, she won't care about promotion just like she didn't in the Blackout/Circus eras.
No wonder she's been working on the album since July 2009 and scrapped the planned Nov-Dec 2010 album to make it even better. She really does not care about the album and seems SO eager to get out of her contract.
