Before Britney, the song was a generic electro-pop demo. Britney came along and the dubstep influences were added, because that was essentially the vision for her project.
See, people are so quick to dismiss her as "not risky" but fail to realize what she has done for the industry. The only non-risky project from her was Circus, which was still mildly risky at the time. The music she made was only "generic" once everyone began copying it, but I remember clear as day how unique "Womanizer" and "Hold It Against Me" were upon release. Y'all stay trying.
