Plus, she was in a VMA-winning song back in 2006 (though only as a featured artist). She actually may not be eligible just for that (like some people say happened with Bruno Mars).

Damn I forgot A$AP was nominated last year. I mean Skylar might be eligible because C'mon Let Me Ride is pretty much her first single off her debut album. MTV is so weird with how they do things.

I feel like Daft Punk is going to get a lot of nominations for being so popular when you know that "Get Lucky" video ain't ****.

Edit: Just realized the video MTV played in the morning was more like a promo. So that might not count.

Hopefully videos with actual great aesthetic will get nominated this year, but I'm not holding my breath.

I can see the BNA nomination happening only for the fact the MTV always tends to include lesser known acts in the category and because One Direction were nominated (And won) last year.

That's a good line-up for this year, but I can't imagine them not including a rock/alternative act. Can't think of who it would be, though...

If it were up to me, I'd just take out PSY and nominate Macklemore & Ryan Lewis twice... Wouldn't be the first time it happened.

Now that I think about it more, though, I could see someone like Philip Phillips or The Lumineers or Ed Sheeran getting a nod for BNA... Not really indie or rock, but at least they have guitars

True I could see all three of them being up for a nomination. MTV is so unpredictable when it comes to this award. Even my girl Kreayshawn got a nom in 2011. So anything's possible.
