I have a feeling the last book in the series is going to be almost all written by Elise Allen. I think Hilary underestimated the amount of time it takes to do a book. She has seemed less & less interested as time goes by. She has also said in multiple interviews that she doesn't feel writing books are her calling - as acting & music are.

What don't people get that Hilary was BURNING OUT in 2008 & she decided she'd rather spend more time with her boyfriend (now husband) & truly build a life together, rather than continue being in the spotlight.

Hilary has NEVER been about that at all during her career. Even during her 'teen queen' years she never was out & about trying to create a PR moment. Really the only press (non-work press) Hilary got during her teen queen years was about her relationships and public spats with only celebs, and that is MINOR compared to what some of the other girls have going on these days.

EDIT: I just went and commented on the post you are referring to and read them, someone said "Her music career isn't that popular either." Um, she hasn't released a full length album since 2007 and has sold 14M WW (8M in the US) with no big single like some other artists. I simply cannot at people trying to deny the impact that Hilary had, once again.
