Katy Perry has the potential to be leaps and bounds better than GaGa vocally, her tone is more distinctive and versatile, with training her range and control can be very stellar.

With that being said GaGa is better live. But she's vastly overrated. Being better than Rihanna and Katy vocally isn't saying much when you're capable of getting dragged for filth by vocalists the caliber of Florence, Beyonce and Adele and dare I say even Jessie j.

Katy is a good vocalist, but she can't deliver performing live, she needs to be standing there or sit in a chair, i saw her Uk XFactor performance of TOTGA and it was good, her Mtv Unplugged was really good, GaGa can perform and slay with the vocals and she has a better voice, i like her range more, they are both good vocalists but GaGa can make it work if you know what i mean!

There's different ranges and types of voices, GaGa has a lower range than the artists that you mentioned, so what she still has a good voice and she still can deliver live, that doesn't change anything, is like comparing Whitney Houston with Alanis Morissette, Whitney has a higher range but that doesn't mean Alanis is a bad singer!
