Okay So i pretty much Completed My Chart descriptions so I'm ready to do mass updates
Here we go!
105. OneRepublic - Counting Stars
I am rather shocked this song did end up making the countdown this year (due to its low peak but semi good chart consistency). I also don't think I've really gotten into this song (i sometimes don't get the appeal for certain songs no shade). So when I see this made my 105 spot, I'm okay with it, but not going to embrace it like the 5 that didn't make the chart.
104. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Same Love
Now if this song wasn't on my year end countdown, as a Gayman I feel I would have to be demoted and maybe revoked my gaycard. lol. jk...But this song was great when the legalization of Gay Marriage was made in California, but this song i never got into like Thrift Shop & Can't Hold Us. I can understand however the reason this song needed to be somewhere on my year end countdown. Its a good song with a strong political marriage regarding the equality in marriage for the LGBT community (as they call it here).
103. Imagine Dragons - Radioactive
This song was good and overrated IMO. I mean if one wants a good song to scream with and become RADIOACTIVE, this song works. As a individual i don't usually need to feel overtly powerful. I tend to do better in enjoying songs that have a deeper mental meaning besides a song that could be about getting physical. the song did grow on me during the end of summer after Radio could not stop playing this song. But to me Demons & Its Time>>>
102. Darius Rucker - Wagon Wheel
I remember this song being good for driving around to during the summer. I never heard the original song til Darius Covered it. Goodness this song has a great sound to it! I love the fact as well Lady Antebellum helped with the composition of the song (I love Lady A!). Yeah that's all I can really say about this song, its great to groove to and drive to. Gosh how is it this low!!
101. Pitbull - Don't Stop The Party
Now this song probably deserves to be lower, but during January i was all up into liking a dance party bop of a song. So #101 belongs to Pitbull. Its an okay song for a few plays, but nothing I would go back and listen to as often as his other works. Very much a song of the moment (and my winter break), and it died when the break ended lol
And
From My top 10 albums:
10 Ke$ha - Warrior
This year was the year where I decided to give Ke$ha a chance (considering I could have cared less to expose myself to her 2010-2011 self). I really got into her songs from this album. Aside from her singles Die Young and C'Mon, I liked that she experimented outside of the Dr. Luke anthems were used to hearing. I mean sure she's saying right now she was "forced to sing the lyrics" for Die Young, but I personally can't get enough of her poppy sound and I'm intrigued by her new directions way more then I did coming off of Animal. Not the best album of 2013, but one of my top ones.
