that's not true. why should she be humble if she has a lot to brag about? as long as she can back it up, she can talk whatever she wants about herself.
Yes it is true, honey. It's pretty sad that some people don't appreciate humility in ATRL. Being the best doesn't give you the right to be rude and conceited. And at the end of the day quality and art is subjective, which makes Gaga's cockiness even more pathetic.
The most hilarious detail is that Gaga is NOT the best of the past "few decades", as she put it.
But you can keep defending her arrogant behavior if you wish. I mean that's what stans do.
Can't she support the gay community without being "exploitative"?
Madonna did it, Janet did it, Judy Garland did it, Cher did it yet all of them get praise while GaGa gets heat for doing the same thing as them.
First of all, I didn't grow up following or listening to Madonna or any of the artists you mentioned....let alone know they were repping for the gays.
But I am bothered by Gaga.
She's documenting everything and every time she does something for the gays....
And the fact that BTW and Hair are pretty much gay anthems....it's definitely working though. But some of my gay friends despise her for it...
I agree with the first album thing, but Back to Basics, Bionic, and Stripped were all different than her peers.
I agree but the issue here is not Gaga music cause honestly her music is not groundbreaking or the most interesting music out there. Neither was Christina Music. But you cant deny her impact in Pop culture which can be explain by her Performance, Her Videos, Her Outfits, The Fact that she's in your Face you like it or Not etc. That why i said she doesnt approache music like her peers. People wants her to leave her antics her focus on music instead but what people seem to not understand is Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Freddie Mercury etc. (Not that i'm comparing them with Gaga) all those legends what make them Pop Culture Moguls were all their antics not only their music. That why People think Gaga is groundbreaking of course she's not but the facts that our generation didnt have those kind of Pop culture figures since Gaga make her an persona apart from the others. That's also the main reason she's outshining her peers and that also why people call her attention seeking.

No. None of them ever pandered to the gay community the way GaGa has.
Anyways, she's an idiot. She's not an intellectual by any stretch of the imagination and needs to stop pretending she is. As long as she's passionate about her music that's what matters, stop trying to justify its merits.

Hair is not a gay anthem. I didn't know hair was exclusive to gays.
This is starting to get off topic, but B2B is very much so a pop album with attempts to have a vintage flair.
lol@theshade.
It was a successful attempt, Hurt, Oh Mother, Candy Man, and Ain't No Other Man are fantastic songs...there's a reason why Hurt and Ain't No Other Man are constantly used by people who join a singing contest...like how they do with Chasing Pavements...

Lol, she did not call herself the "best" of the past few decades. Jesus. And she's plenty humble when it comes to her fans and always gracious when talking about other artists, which is really the most important thing.
Hair is not a gay anthem. I didn't know hair was exclusive to gays.
It is....
It's the same with Born This Way. Even if it generalizes on the genders, it's still obvious that Gaga's self-love anthems are directed mainly to the gays.

I also didn't grow up with Madonna but I'm pretty sure at the time she was a VERY active feminist. She set to change the view of the world on women and as far as I know, succeeded. Does that make her of exploitative of womankind?
The album is called Born This Way not Born To Be Gay.
Born This Way, Hair, Bad Kids, etc. are empowerment anthems for ANYONE which is the recurring theme of the album.
Lady Gaga is an attention Seeking Yes but so was Madonna, So was Prince, So was Elton John etc. Almost every Rock Legends in the 80's were attention Seeking. She just blow up at a time where everything as to be political correct.
They came off more natural, and didn't contradict themselves. GaGa...every person I know think she's always trying to shock. They believe that's the artist she is. No one's looking at GaGa the way she wants them to, and it's her fault.
Name 3 artists who have approached and Performance or music like her for the last Decade ?

I dont know where come your anger cause i love Prince and i'm trying to diss him so you calm down damn.
I'm not angry but your comment had really nothing to do with the issue at hand. The problem was not the fact that it's not bad to be attention seeking. The problem is the fact that Gaga denies being one when she is clearly the biggest of them all.
And just to clarify Prince was not a persona, He has always been like that. Gaga herself has admitted she was a persona. How come a girl that walks the streets almost naked or with extravagant outfits she never used to wear 5 years ago can keep a straight face while saying she is not an attention seeking person and even sound arrogant while doing so. Doesn't make sense. The joke is just too big to laugh at it.
Prince has nothing to do with Gaga. And may some of you not take it a bad way. I am nowhere near a gaga's hater.

it's been a long time since someone has embraced the art form the way that I have? Perhaps it's been a couple of decades since there's been an artist that's been as vocal about culture, religion, human rights, politics.
The message she is trying to convey about herself is pretty clear.
But I'm sure you will present another cheap excuse.
