Yikes. I would check out of this performance after BHC. Her catalog is not impressive enough to sustain a 10+ performance that would capture audiences.
She has the vocals but her stage presence is flat and her songs aren't upbeat enough to keep attention.
Yeah her presence is lacking but she is still a powerhouse vocalist. Plus she has performed for the NFL a lot already so giving her the gig makes sense. People like her still especially amongst football fans.
Kelly Clarkson has a better discography for the Super Bowl than Carrie and has higher authority. And since the perfectly tweezed Toxicity claims football is only for middle america, Kelly has better list of Country super stars to bring out than Carrie, like Blake, Miranda, Reba, etc.
Do some people really think she's not big enough? Like really? I can't plus, she's not a pop gurl. Her career is not based off #1 singles and charts, she's a classic country singer, yet her singles have amazing longevity, great airplay (for the kind of artist she is) and sell the album. Don't worry, people know who she is
