The reality is most POC gays tend to be very homophobic and self hating in their views,equally POC in general regardless of sexuality are more prone to homophobia, so most POC gays come from such social settings.Which in turn does influence ones views to life. While a higher majority of white gays are self accepting and have open minded views to life and to male on male relationships, thus one may unknowingly aspire to go for the guy(race in this case) that will treat you with dignity and equality.
Asians and black guys are mostly the ones that come from such societies and thus their views of gay relationships to an extent can be a bit twisted, so also it plays (some) role in them being objectified rather than viewed as serious relationship material.
That's why even POC's dating each other can be difficult and dramatic at times, Equally due to homophobia still in POC social backgrounds, less of them come out and thus a lesser variety of mates with different personalities and etc Making it harder to get your preferred POC guy.
Though if you get a POC guy that is cool with himself, it can equally be very much fulfilling. Personally i don't care about race when dating.
