4 is a daring and soulful album. It showed her growth as a musician and woman coming into her own. I feel that RTW and Countdown don't dillute the album at all. Especially Countdown because she expresses her love for her husband and her aspiration as a woman. Themes that are present throughout the entire album.
Not to mention the percussions and impressive production that's similar to other songs on the album such as EOT.
If you think about how daring 4 was from an artistic point of view, I think you would grow to appreciate it Everyone was doing EDM, while Bey chose to do soulful r&b. That's respectable enough on its own.
