a number one doesn't mean anything, sales and inpact are what matters
For the general public it doesn't matter if an album hits number one or not
id rather have long term sales and number ones songs. usher and chris debuted at number 1 with sales less than 150k, rihannas done more than that on her last 4 albums. so bb200 #1 is not that important, we even have albums that debut at number one and are still flops, madonna for example.
Someone can sold a lot and being #2 on BB200 and in another time someone with poor sales can be #1
The sales are more important than the two, then HOT 100 because it's more difficult to have sales + radio in the same time before peaking in one of them
Its harder to get a #1 album too, ask Rihanna. (No shade intended) she had over 10 #1's and many artists too.
You can't use Rihanna as an argument here - she could very easily get a #1 album, her label just stupidly released her last three on Black Friday week.
I think they are both equally important but peoplw with this Rihanna shade is not cute... The real shade is how can a number 3 album outsell a number one album????
