If you are in the U.S. her album is on Spotify which is free but there is an occasional ad between songs.

Grooveshark as well. It's completely free and I like it a lot more than Spotify, personally.

To say I was hyped for "1000 Forms of Fear" would be an understatement, given my obsession with her 2010 release "We Are Born" after discovering her on Guetta's "Titanium". Although after exploring her previous work in full, even as far back as Zero 7, and then comparing it to her appearances on Guetta/Flo Rida singles, my excitement slowly turned more towards skepticism, given that whilst "We Are Born" was pretty pop-heavy, it certainly had an identity. That paired with her recent hit-and-miss songwriting for other artists (for every Diamonds and Blank Page, there's a Pretty Hurts and a Perfume) made me concerned she was well and truly focused on a half-arsed mainstream release.
Fast forward to earlier this year; the first time I heard her sing Chandelier's hard-hitting chorus, any doubt I had in my mind was shattered. The thing with Sia is that when it comes to her solo work, for me it's mainly about voice and she's yet to let me down in that department. I do believe lyrics are important, especially for an artist who has previously demonstrated a songwriting talent, but primarily it's about how the music itself sounds.
With "1000 Forms of Fear" I feel like Sia is somewhere in between her early origins and her recent work. The passion and power in her voice alone carries the songs much more as was the case with her classic material, although the production on the majority of these songs is still slick and incredibly fresh sounding, save for a few duds that drag it down. It's dark and the more you get into each song the more you realise the deepness of some of the content. Her delivery of certain lines can feel almost heartbreaking in parts, so if you're the type who needs to believe the artist believes it, you're likely to find it here.
I wouldn't say overall this is solely a truly depressing album - it's the type of album you could just play on the surface if you were in the mood for a unique voice singing pop music for an hour. I'd say that's what the main genius of this album is for me, at the end of the day it's a solid pop album for a pop listener, but makes use of lyrics in a time where many albums of its kind are vapid and shallow. I'd say it doesn't quite reach the highs of some of her other albums, but considering what I was initially expecting, this is easily one of the best listens and surprises of 2014.

I like this idea. I don't know if I feel like doing it for this album, however, but I will keep my eyes open.

| REM.COM REVIEW:
SIA - 1000 FORMS OF FEAR
Written by Rem Ember
Sia's sixth studio album, 1000 Forms of Fear, is definitely worth the praise. It's personal, beautiful and definitely unique compared to current music. This is the first release I've actually heard from her in full, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Furler provides amazing lyrics, an effortlessly wonderful voice and 12 tracks that you're sure to love. My favorite track is the first single, Chandelier, which reflects on Sia's issue with drinking. My top three ends with Elastic Heart, featuring The Weeknd and Diplo (the only collaboration, which was also on the Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack) and Hostage, a gem that fits the current season perfectly. The only negative things I can think about for this is how Sia's distinct vocals, as well as the production, can make some lyrics difficult to distinguish. Also, I feel that the last track, Dressed in Black, was just a minute or so too long due to the repetitiveness it provided. Other than those small flaws, 1000 Forms of Fear will give you 1000 forms of joy and I recommend it to all.
Track-By-Track:
Chandelier: 10/10
Big Girls Cry: 8.5/10
Burn The Pages: 9/10
Eye of the Needle: 9/10
Hostage: 9.5/10
Straight for the Knife: 9/10
Fair Game: 8.5/10
Elastic Heart: 9.5/10
Free the Animal: 9.5/10
Fire Meet Gasoline: 9.5/10
Cellophane: 9/10
Dressed in Black: 8.5/10 | Top 3:
1. Chandelier
2. Elastic Heart
3. Hostage
Bottom 3:
10. Big Girls Cry
11. Fair Game
12. Dressed in Black
Final Verdict:

The new album from Australian pop singer and writer Sia gives a much needed breath of fresh air to pop music. The opening track 'Chandelier' (originally written for Rihanna, and easily one the best pop songs of 2014) demonstrates Sia's incredible vocal talent and song writing; with 'Chandelier' a pop ballad that mourns the party lifestyle.
The album continues to impress with songs such as 'Elastic Heart', 'Fire Meets Gasoline' and 'Fair Game' being highlights of the album and with other songs showcasing many themes and her impressive song writing ability.
However, 'Big Girls Cry' is one of the disappointments from the album. The chorus feels like a cliche that is in many pop songs- "big girls cry when their heart breaks"- and feels like a generic breakup anthem song, despite this the verses are quite good.
Overall, the album is very good, and as a casual Sia listener it has wanted me to delve further into her discography.

Sia is relatively a new name in the music industry. However the underground listeners should know her and her semi-obscure career before writing worldwide hits for today's biggest music names. Her career was reborn with the help of writing for superstars as Rihanna, Christina Aguilera or Beyonce and also because of the David Guetta collaboration ”Titanium”
2014 brings Sia's sixth album on the market and she creates a great body of work with it.
The album begins with the hit ”Chandelier” which I dare to say it's the top pop song of the year. The song explodes through the big, memorable chorus that gives us some of Sia's best vocals to date. It's a hymn, a bizarre hymn.
The record shows lots of vulnerability moments. ”Big Girls Cry” and ”Eye of the Needle” showcase that vulnerability.
”Burn the Pages” and ”Hostage” change the pace of the album through the pop-rock-ish feeling of the songs.
”Fair Game” and ”Straight for the Knife” takes us through a strong feeling of melancholy.
”Elastic Heart”, a magic moment of the album blends perfectly Diplo's production, Sia's colorfoul vocals and Abel's falsettos.
Next in line we have probably the most energic song of the album, ”Free the Animal” and I call it the next single. ”Fire Meet Gasoline” it's a great pop ballad which reminds me a bit of Beyonce's ”Halo”
”Cellophane” get us through probably the most atypical moment of the album. It's sinister and memorable. Sia chooses to finish the album by the mid-tempo ”Dressed in Black”.
Finally, we can say Sia created a new, solid album, very accessible for the new wave of fans but also for the devoted fans.
It's a balanced album, pop music with deep meanings, pop music meant to express her feelings.
Highlights: Chandelier, Straight for the Knife, Elastic Heart, Free the Animal, Fire Meet Gasoline.
7.8/10
