Yes, some people go too far however I feel like this site (mainly the Hive) can be way too sensitive.
I feel like there's a new thread made daily by a member from the Hive complaining about racism, like chill.
The Hive, too sensitive? The whole debacle which resulted in racist jokes all started because Britney fans were upset that her name wasn't bolded in a Beyoncé thread. Isn't that kinda too sensitive?
It does need to stop. Racism as a "joke" is NEVER acceptable at all. I don't care what the excuse is, it will never be in a good lighting for acceptance. This issue needs to be resolved asap. Even with sicknesses as well, I saw a person once use "BeyHIV+" instead of hive. Like when will this all stop. Using mental illnesses, racial slurs, and life threatening illnesses just shows how disgusting people are and it needs to be addressed more about these issues. Racism is never something to joke about period. People of color are wrongly prosecuted, murdered, profiled, and are at a disadvantage because of their race and racism. These are matters that should never be taken lightly but seriously.
Saying someone caught fish with their bare hands or had to pick coconuts to be able to afford the “Crazy in Love” cassette is not racist. It's classist or elitist at best.
It's racist. I don't see them making those jokes about Lorde who literally debuted with a song about how poor she was ye they like to make jokes about Rih liked she lived in the wilderness hiding out and constantly question her intelligence like Bajans are illiterate or something.

Maybe members should stop being racist and the Hive won't make these threads. And maybe members should stop making excuses for racists and stop calling those who get offended sensitive
