I'm pretty sure Joe already knows how that feels given his prior foray into a solo career.
he feels brave just because they had a hit and a vma, but it is very likely that they wont have a career mostly when the few fans they have are joe jonas fans that still like him but they won't last because most of them are in their 20s and will soon lost interest in pop music and move on into their own lives, he should appreciate them instead of acting this way.
just bc they're over 20 they will not like pop music anymore? my mom is over 60 and she listens to katy perry, mika, nicki... she also listens to other stuff like chris de burgh and sting, but still likes mainstream pop music lol
