Mediatraffic themselves released an updated list with Good Girl Gone Bad as the best-selling album released in 2007, with 8 million copies sold worldwide. In the Zone has sold 8 million as well. Both have sold the same. Doesn't change the fact that Good Girl Gone Bad spawned multiple US and worldwide hits and has sold more records in the US and worldwide. In the Zone was a non-event, especially here in the US. Toxic didn't even go top 5 (peaking at #9), while Umbrella, Take a Bow, and Disturbia all topped the chart, Don't Stop the Music peaked at #3, and Hate That I Love You peaked at #7. Rihanna's status was elevated during her GGGB era. Britney's was headed in the opposite direction during her In the Zone era.
