Okay I'm done with her being underrated. I can't stand the fact that coming from a certain country is crucial for your success. All her singles would've been hits in the US and UK, if she was from the UK or US.
This new single sounds like a hit too. I am not into these bubble gum tunes but I know she got SOME PIPES and I have been rooting for her since her US debut (Which sounded better than any of her material since X Factor). I hope one day she will go back to her R&B sound, cause her voice and urban/soul is HEAVEN. Can't Let You Go and Step Up are BEYOND incredible songs!
I like it but sounds really generic, Firestarter remains her best single until now for me, hope it can be a hit tho! she really needs one because I feel like this is her last chance

Personally, I think "Shake That" is probably Samantha's most urban/r&b release since "Step Up". You probably only based your judgement on the snippet. However, if you listen to the full version, you really get to hear more urban/R&B influences in other parts of the song. It's still pop but with urban influences. Hope you'll like the full version!
I didn't realise this was out already. It's super catchy, I hope it smashes for her. She's serving vocals, as usual. The verses are better than the chorus for me. I could see Jessica Mauboy singing this.
I know we hear a lot about Samantha Jade potentially going global. However, if there was any time for that opportunity, NOW would be it. Hopefully, international bloggers/websites can help make that come to fruition - they definitely have the power.
