it's a crumbling city.. nothing is well preserved. I appreciate art, history, and food (all of which Rome was supposed to embody) and I still found it incredibly disappointing.. also, my charter bus was robbed & broken into one night

Toronto, ugly and boring. Naples, not really that good. Niagara Falls, a huge mess. Sevilla, boring. York, too tiny.

There were a few enjoyable locations, but the people are still disgusting (although again not as bad as Beijing).. by disgusting I just mean smelly & they spit everywhere and just (obvi this is a generalization and not EVERYONE is like that). Also, it's rather smoggy. The 'Bund' which is supposed to be one of the city's attractions is thoroughly dissapointing as well, there is nothing to do there. The club I went to was fun though. idk i wouldn't really recommend it. You won't hate it, but there are so many better places to travel in the world imo..

Thanks for letting me know!
Maybe Shanghai is still finding its personality though. When China is the world's superpower it will probably be Asia's #1 city, but it's not there yet.
But what sets NYC and London apart from the rest of the world are the iconic symbols... the yellow cabs and stone skyscrapers for NYC, the double decker red buses and telephone boxes for London. When you see them you know exactly where you are, and not many cities have that.
The thing that attracts me to Shanghai are the lights everywhere (on the skyscrapers) and in Nanjing Road. It seems so futuristic.

Yeah, my friend went to Bavaria last year in August and visited several castels (as well as that Neujbfqekubfeuqbfequ castle I can't spell or pronounce) and from the photos it looks beautiful. I go hiking in Tirol every year anyway, so I might think of that

I don't like france at all because of the people. I once participated at a school exchange and after a week in france we were supposed to go but they destroyed the bus window so we had to stay a few hours longer

Nothing is preserved? It's like the best-preserved city in the world.
They made Milan the financial city of Italy so that they wouldn't have to knock down Roman buildings.
I agree with what you say about the food, though. I was expecting the pizza to be amazing but it was no better than what I can get at my local Italian restaurant (I don't like in Italy btw).
But actually, one thing I did like about Paris was the food. I thought French food was really overrated until I went to Paris and tasted it. It's amazing.
