I love all three of this songs
Radio is the song that took the longest to grow on my from BTD, and it's not really among my favorites, but I definitely appreciate it and like the sounds of it very much.
LOOH is amazing, it's what really got me into Bruno. I'd been dismissing him after his first few singles, JTWYA, Grenade and The Lazy Song, but this totally sucked me in and made me so curious about him and his new album. and I don't regret it, the song is great and so is the album

Another day, another Brit! There will be at least one British song in every update except for one, just so y'all know Following The xx and Jessie Ware are Calvin Harris & Example with "We'll Be Coming Back." There's just something about Calvin's music that I really love. If I ever just want to listen to some pure dance-pop fun, I'll go to Calvin. His sound is just what I'm looking for. On this track, Example gives a pretty good vocal. I'm not familiar with any of his solo work, but I may check him out in the future. Idk what the song's about, but it's fun to sing (and yell) and the chorus instrumental is just great.

"212" is one of the only songs I've heard by Azealia Banks. I think I've also heard "1991" and "Liquorice". It seems she's pretty good. I've just been avoiding her because I don't want to be influenced by the crazy amounts of hype she's gotten on this board. I'll probably give her mixtape and EP a listen at the beginning of next year. As for "212", we all know it. We all love it. It's something that rap music really needed to spice things up. I think we were all surprised the first time we heard, "I guess that **** gettin' eaten." Is this song directed towards Nicki? I always figured that's who she was talking about - losing one's self-identity & purpose once they get in the "industry" or whatever. I believe this song came out in mid-2011, but it didn't become really relevant to mainstream pop culture until this year, so I included it.

Yes!!! Gays in the building STAND UP! This song is pure gay, and I live. I noticed one of my gay facebook friends posted the link to this song; apparently they play Girls Aloud in the gay clubs in Alabama? Girls Aloud their impact. So global. This song is so energetic from the very beginning when Nadine yells at us "Go girls, go go go go go." And who can forget Sarah's "TAKE A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE OF LIFE, LIFE!!!" The only negative about this song is that one synth that reminds me of "Bad Romance". I know it existed before BR, but that sound will always be associated with that song for me, so it kinda bugs me to hear it in this.

American Idol is not the only thing these two have in common! They both released a greatest hits album this year. For this battle round, I'll be asking you guys which album had the better lead single. Here's how I feel about each of the tracks:

"Dance Again" - Once again, J.Lo hooks up with Pitbull on a lead single. Jennifer, you don't NEED Pitbull! Okay, maybe you sorta do need him so that men will buy your song, but still, he adds nothing to the actual song. So let's pretend he doesn't exist. When it's just J.Lo, "Dance Again" is pretty solid. Sometimes I feel it is a bit disjointed and messy, but the chorus soars to great heights, so that can't be ignored. The verses are pretty damn weak. They just aren't catchy; they're slow; they don't do the chorus any justice. "I wanna DANCE! And LOVE! And DANCE! AGAIN!" Great chorus!

"Catch My Breath" - This single is more recent than "Dance Again", and it's currently in the iTunes Top 100, but I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that this song is dead in the water. It ain't a hit. This certainly sounds like it has some '80s pop influences, which is cute. Unfortunately, I think Kelly sounds a bit.... shrill... during the chorus. Someone with such a powerful voice shouldn't sound like she's struggling on such a basic track. That note at the end of the bridge irritates me! Maybe I'm being too hard on the gal. It IS a nice song, just not as nice as "Dance Again" (minus Pitbull).

212 is a smash! one of the best songs of the last year. I love everything about it, the beat, the lyrics, her rapping, her attitude, and not to forget the video I'm glad to see this song here.

"212 ***** so hard! I feel like it got too much notice in 2011 to qualify this year, otherwise I'd probably put it in the top five of my list.

I love "Something New." It may not be as boundary-pushing as Girls Aloud's best work, but it's certainly better than most of the lead singles for greatest hits collections this year.

Speaking of which, "Dance Again" is a half-assed knock-off of a mediocre song ("On the Floor") and "Catch My Breath" is a half-assed knock-off of an excellent one ("Since U Been Gone"), so my vote goes to Kelly.
