Assuming Adele's sold 7.5K ('steady 3.8K') and the gap is rlly 5K, he only sold 9.5K in the first day.
If it's not at least at 15K in tomorrow's update, ADELE got it.
this is what they get for releasing pillowtalk as the first single. it's trash and was a frontloaded 'hit'. I wouldn't buy the album if I thought that was what the rest of it was going to sound like

Well, Mint Royale Tweeted on Saturday that Zayn had only sold 'a few hundred copies more' on his first day of sales than what James, the #2 album last week, did on their first day of sales.
No idea what James' first day of sales were (I'm guessing around 6.5k), but when the Monday update was released on Buzzjack last week, James had sold 11,568 at that point.

UK buyers are campaign junkies. If you don't show face, they're not coming out. He could've at least done some BBC work like Lana did with Honeymoon tracks.
But he said it himself. He doesn't care about selling, just making the music he wanted. This is evident in the boring videos and weak performances. I'm enjoying the album so it's all good.
5000 combined sales, incl streams then i guess.
Adele probably had her best sales during the easter weekend, that's why it looked as she'd may take the #1 at first. still get a pretty solid week i guess and it's getting all closer to that 3 million!!
