Guess it's time to find a new hit-maker in need of her... services.

Anyway, regardless of why, this is a good move for her. He's a great producer to use when you're young and establishing yourself. But if you keep using him you'll get stuck in a rut of big hit singles on US radio and nothing else (see Femme Fatale).
He's been good to her (CG, H&C, CG, TD, ET, LFN), but time to move on. She doesn't need to use him anymore.
I'm sure she'll keep working with hitmakers though.

Musically I'm excited as ****. Commercially Teenage Dream might be either the official peak of her career or the end of her current image. The first would be bad, the second would be good. However, if she changed her image there's also a chance she wouldn't be as huge as she is now, so we'll have to see. Either way I'm sorta excited in a positive way.

Also, you're an idiot of think changing one producer will suddenly change sales WW.

I won't lie and say I don't care.
Luke needed to be involved in her next album... In a lower scale of course, but still. Katy needed to make a smooth transition. I guess this will force her to look for other top-notch producers. At least we know she's capable of identifying hits.

No, Dr. Luke didn't have an official relationship with ANY record label, so he could jump around for anyone. But now he owns his own record label.
Completely different.

I don't really get the feeling Katy enjoys working with him. I always felt like she did it as a concession to her label. Of course she wanted to make big commercial hits but she also wants people to see her as a credible artist and I don't think she feels respected when she works with him.

Thank the lord. Katy would do so much better without that generic loser.

1. I don't get all the Luke hate... yes, he's a hitmaker, but some of his productions are great, I Kissed A Girl, Hot N Cold, E.T....
2. Katy will remain a succesful artist, like Cap10Planet mentioned before... nobody will stop supporting her because she's not working with him, the general public don't even know who Dr. Luke is.
