I hope so too. There hasn't really been a huge alternative crossover smash since Gives You Hell, which hit 4 million during its time.

Sadly it won't happen. I was hopeful few weeks ago, but now it seems that LMFAO ( ), Adele, Rihanna and maybe Kelly Clarkson or Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away" will block them forever from the summit. BTW, I'm glad to know that they've done well in the US charts, as PUK didn't have any promotion!

Foster The People's Torches has been certified Gold, so "Pumped Up Kicks" is doing A LOT for them. Even if it doesn't hit #1, it's one of the biggest songs by a newcomer this year. I hope they follow up their success and not fall into one-hit wonder status because unlike most alternative bands, their album is filled with crossover potential.

They have a lot of club-friendly songs in their album, but still maintains their alternative sound, which I think is pretty impressive. I too hope they don't end up being one-hit wonders. They look like they have much to offer.

Why do people say that Lighters is out of Top 10 SO SOON?
It had pretty good longevity.. I mean, yes! It peaked in sales just too fast but that was because of the poor promo of the song
|
It was on #6 last week, it dropped hard

The Script is so amazing with how their singles could be 12 months old in other countries, then come out in America and **** like it was just released 2 weeks ago.
